Morriscastle Strand
Just five minutes from the Upton Court Hotel, the very beautiful white sandy Morriscastle beach was awarded its blue flag in 2008 which has been maintained to date. It has long been regarded as one of Ireland’s best beaches on the East coast, something that was qualified by receiving this accolade.
Not many people know that it’s the longest unbroken stretch of beach in Europe and runs for over 20 kilometres stretching along the Wexford coast. Morriscastle beach is also well known for its Bass fishing from the shore, with large numbers of beach fishers visiting every year.
Blackwater Golf Course
Blackwater Golf Course is a fun and challenging 18 hole par 3 course set amidst the beautiful and peaceful rolling terrain of Blackwater, County Wexford. The course is entirely sand based and is free draining, making it playable all year round.
There are games for all the family at Blackwater including Foot Golf and Foot Pool.
Ballycanew Riding Centre
Operated under the supervision of the owner, Sandra Maguire, this compact equestrian centre offers the ideal conditions and encouragement to get started in the exciting world of ponies and horses. Individual attention is assured and careful attention to the comfort, care and safety of even the youngest rider is the foremost priority of the owner.
Facilities include a floodligt arena, a cross country course, farm rides, small arena for children / adults, trial rides and beach rides. Activities include cross country rides, dressage and group lessons.
Approximately 15 / 20 mins from Upton Court Hotel.
Kidzone
Kidzone is a popular indoor play centre for children with areas suitabe for children from 0-11 years old, it has 3 different play areas to suit the different age groups.
There is also a Café on site for parents to relax and watch over their children as they play. Located approximtely 15 / 20 mins from the Upton Court Hotel
Kia Ora Mini Farm
Kia Ora Mini Farm is a family run open farm in Gorey, Wexford where adults and children get up close and personal with all of the usual farm animals together with some of the more exotic such as alpacas, emus, parrots etc. Activities at the farm include holding and feeding the animals, fire engine ride with fun sing along songs, giant buzz off game, milking cows, sandpits, rough rider track, football pitch, colouring area, ride on tractors and trikes and a new addition.
Fully wheelchair and buggie accessible, picnics welcomed.
Blackwater Open Farm
Visit Blackwater Open Farm for a fun day out for the whole family, meet the animals, play in the playground, milk Jessie our model dairy cow, ride the tractors and enjoy a bite to eat in our seasonal restaurant.
There’s something for everyone in all weather types with an indoor bouncing castle, pedal go-karting track, indoor and outdoor tractor track and a climbing frame.
Courtown Adventure & Leisure Centre
Courtown Adventure’s Forest Park Leisure Centre is a state of the art leisure centre that inclides a 15 metre pool, a kids pool, 65m water slide, a fun pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, gym, café, beauty salon and much more. Situated in Courtown just 15 minutes from Upton Court Hotel.
